Kat. 15a אין פ׳ אלאוכ׳ priʿah (Lev. 13:45) means, to let the hair grow (opp. to the opinion that parʿa means, to uncover, remove the headdress, v. infra). 2) uncovering, removing the mourners wrap (v. עֲטִיפָה). Ib. 24a פְּרִיעַת הראש taking off the mourners wrap (on the Sabbath); Gen. R. s. 100. 3) uncovering the corona at circumcision, splitting the membrane and pulling it down. Yeb.71b לא ניתנה פְּרִיעַת מילהוכ׳ Abraham was not commanded to tear Deut. R. s. 6, beg. (ref. to למולות, Ex. 4:26) מכאן למילה ומכאן לפ׳ from this we derive circumcision and also uncovering. Ib. (ref. to המול ימול Gen. 17:13) שתי מילות מילה ופ׳ two operations, circumcision and uncovering; a. e. 4) paying a debt. B. 4 guarantee
Fina promise made by a third party, or guarantor, that he or she will be liable if one of the parties to a contract fails to fulfill their contractual obligations. A guarantee may be acceptable to a bank as security for borrowing provided the guarantor has sufficient financial means to cover his or her potential liability. -
